
Our History
The story of Dienekes begins with its founder, Renato Marcelino, and more than 15 years of experience working with technology for retail.
Before creating Dienekes, Renato dedicated himself to helping both national and foreign retailers expand their presence in Brazil through marketplace integrations. These projects opened doors for thousands of businesses to sell more efficiently in the country’s largest digital channels — proving how the right technology can unlock growth at scale.
But retail doesn’t happen only online. From the very beginning, Dienekes has also supported physical stores, delivering projects in ERP systems, stock forecasting, business intelligence, and buy now, pay later (BNPL) solutions. Each of these initiatives had the same focus: making operations smarter, faster, and more profitable.
Along the way, we saw a consistent pattern: retailers needed technology that truly delivered results — tools that could grow sales, cut costs, and adapt to the realities of day-to-day retail.
That vision led to the founding of Dienekes. Since then, the company has delivered hundreds of successful projects across both e-commerce and physical stores, always with the same mission: give retailers the technology, speed, and support they need to thrive.

Why "DIENEKES"?
Our name comes from Dienekes, a Spartan warrior remembered for his courage at the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC.
When told the Persian archers were so numerous their arrows would block out the sun, Dienekes replied:
“Then we shall fight in the shade.”
He embodied the Spartan values of discipline, resilience, and collective strength — principles that inspire how we approach technology and client relationships.
