Our origin

Before it was an ERP, it was a fix for our own shops

The founder went to work in his family's shops and ran into exactly the problems other retailers face: a system nobody could teach quickly, support that turns into a ticket queue, tax rejections that stall the sale, and management chained to the back-office desktop.

DIENEKES was built to solve that at home first. It only became a product afterwards. That is why the system has fewer buttons than its competitors — every screen was designed by the people who would use it at the counter on a Saturday evening.

The choice

If everyone has inventory, sales and tax, where is the difference?

The difference does not show up in a feature list. It shows up day to day — and that is where DIENEKES chose to compete.

Dienekes, at Thermopylae

Herodotus tells that before Thermopylae, the Spartan Dienekes was warned the Persian arrows would be so many they would blot out the sun. That was his answer.

The name is not about war — it is about the posture you take toward a large problem. It is the same one we expect of ourselves when a client's till goes down on a Friday night.
